I had been creating this series since 2012, with my fresh eyes everything holds interest and excitement. I depict true representations about the urbanite love and their pursuit of happiness; my subjects cover street scenes to beach life in sunny California, shopping mall culture to festival celebrations. Through my life experience as an immigrant in Los Angeles, I stand on my perspective to deliver informative message through my art. Based on my daily observation in my life, I blend in narrative skills in illustrations, artistic exaggerations and realism art techniques to project the characters and objects in a story-telling way.
I consider these illustrations and articles are not only my job, but also my daily training and practice in painting and writing. I observe happenings evolving in my daily life and use them in my works. Through this continued practice, it enriches my creativity, imagination and skills.

My illustration and article series, "Chinese Traditional Children's game with Nursery Rhyme" were published in the Guangzhou Daily Newspaper.
With the advent of computers, video games, and virtual reality, I fear children's traditional games are disappearing.
In the following panels I record the joy of
traditional play, and how children play these games with the matching playful nursery rhymes.
These illustrations have also been accepted to La Luz Gallery, LA.

In the past, instead of giving bad reviews on Yelp, or reporting someone to their manager, the only option was to pay for a curse to be put on the offending party. In the below image I show the old woman whose job it is to curse her client's enemy. She makes an effigy, burns it and beats on the ashes with a shoe.
